Bertha HEPBURN, daughter of William C. HEPBURN is confusing. She was born 4 years before his marriage to Ida, but the 1910 census indicates she had 3 ch/3 living which would incl Bertha and Bertha's listed. However, if William was 30 at his first marriage and was born in 1871, he was first married in 1901, not 1904. So it's possible he was married before Ida and maybe that wife died giving birth to Bertha and whoever reported 3 children/3 living just assumed Bertha belonged to Ida. 'Tis a mystery. One of many!!
